Aren't these cute?  :-)  Handsewn using my very own Pattern, each Church Doll is about 5 inches tall x 3 & 1/2 inches wide.  They have on grungied dresses and are scented in a very prim mix of oils heavy in the fragrance of berries, cinnamon and brown sugar!  Each Doll is individually handsewn by me at the time of order so no two will ever be the same.  There are 4 Church Doll Bowlfillers included in this sale!  Enough to add to Potpourri, Sweet Annie or other drieds and have a gorgeous, fragrant display in a old bowl! 

These Dolls are fashioned after some Church Dolls that I saw in Pine Mountain, Ga about 40 miles from my home.  They were dolls handmade by mothers in the mid 1800's to keep their children quiet on Sunday mornings during Church.  The Dolls were given to children to play with during Church and sometimes the heads were filled with sugar for the children to suck on.  Since sugar was such a hard to come by luxury around here in the deep South, most times the Dolls in this area were just made to be played with.
